Home of the Original Lobster Supper

Lobster Supper Season Runs from May 12 to Oct 12, 2024

It all started
in 1936…

When the Shore Club was built in 1946, its lobster suppers had already been happening since 1936 on Hubbards Beach.

With the building in place, the lobster suppers moved indoors and over the years the experience evolved.

Year after year we receive tourists from all over the world looking for a taste of Nova Scotia and Nova Scotians coming back for a taste of Summer.

And it wasn’t
just the food…

There has always been a live band on stage every single Summer Saturday night since 1946.

Making the Shore Club “Nova Scotia's Last Great Dance Hall”.

For the past 78 years they have brought the best lobsters and greatest live music to people from all over the world.

Not even Covid-19 will stop this family owned restaurant

“For many years this family owned restaurant has had live bands and was packed most weekends. you had to book well in advance. This time things were a bit different. It was easy to get a table, and as expected with the pandemic tables were spread apart. The famous dory mussel bar was replaced and mussels added as a new item to the menu. But don't let that stop you. The food was as great as I remembered as a child and the service top notch. So glad we were able to treat ourselves on our "staycation"down the south shore.”
